2016 CTS V3 back in action with a lot more attitude. This car came to us for:
✅
@gwatneyperformance cam kit
✅
@latemodelengines VVT delete cover
✅
@katech_inc timing chain guide
✅ 2.3” grip tech upper pulley
✅
@circledspecialties 258mm pro series torque converter
✅
@dsxtuning auxiliary pump, ilder relocation bracket and bigger lower pulley
✅
@xtreme.di 30% LT4 injectors
This car already had a
@kongperform ported stock blower(non x port as this will be relevant to the Dyno results), DSX lid and lower pulley, and a
@rotofab cold air intake, as well as long tube headers/x-pipe with
@corsaperformance exhaust.
We also got to install our very first
@wisherperformance Auxjection/flex fuel kit and were extremely impressed with the results. This system allowed us to run this car on full E85 with no aftermarket controller, no port plates, and about 40* cooler blower temps on average which was huge for this car that does not have an ice tank or interchiller. Using fuel to cool the air charge in the supercharger is a game changer for these LT4/PD style supercharged cars where heat is your biggest enemy and not having to worry about running a separate meth system or anything like that.
On 93 octane it made 740whp/838tq, and on E60 it put down 790whp/940tq.
Needles to say this thing is an absolute torque monster due to the blower port, we have found and confirmed with other sources that the non X-port on the supercharger seems to favor torque over peak hp, whereas the X-port gives up a chunk of torque for a much higher whp peak number. The more you know.
