One year ago yesterday I took my first class at Steps on Broadway. I timidly made my way in to @kathrynsullivankas ‘s beginner ballet at 9am on a Monday and hoped that after many years retired from colorguard and many more years retired from any other dance training that I’d be able to keep up. Well, one year and dozens and dozens and dozens of ballet, theater jazz, jazz, and pointe classes later, I’ve fully fallen back in love with dance. Thanks for a great first year back @stepsonbroadway ! I’ve already excelled far beyond what I thought was possible, all thanks to the incredible quality instruction you offer.
Can’t wait to see what this year brings!
April, in short: I met my personal piano hero, spent a week in Boston, got my first sunburn of 2026, adored my two silly cats, and celebrated my love’s birthday with fancy noodles. 10/10 month. These May flowers have some big shoes to fill.
I was beyond overdue for a week in Boston. Nearly three years after my move to NYC, I think I lost count of how many times I said “I haven’t seen you in so long” this past week. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that I got to catch up with dozens of friends, enjoy lots of foods that I’ve somehow missed even with the endless food options at home, add some more little death heads to my collection, take three ballet classes, and spend extended time with some of my favorite people on earth. For those unaware of the primary reason for my visit to Boston, I was honored to attend a beautiful memorial concert for my friend and colleague Bob Franke. I don’t have any photos from that aside from my ticket stub, but it was a moving and incredible evening where we celebrated the music of our friend. Make as much time as you can to surround yourself with the people who bring joy and love to your life. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, so don’t wait to see the ones that matter most. Thank you for a great week Boston, and I won’t wait so long to visit again.

Today was certainly a bittersweet day as I said goodbye (for now) to Upper East Side. I’m thrilled to say that I’ll be making a move across the park to take on a new role at our fantastic sibling store on the Upper West Side. As I trade gossip girl and Carrie Bradshaw for Juilliard and Lincoln Center, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for the many incredible moments I experienced at UES, the many friends I’ve made, and the opportunity they gave me to visit Cupertino for the first(and second) time. The amazing joy and growth I’ve found in NYC would be nowhere near possible without the support of this incredible team. I’m so thrilled to see what this next journey will bring.

Meet Francis “Stinky” Ventresca. I know a lot of you saw my story the other day about the abandoned cat that I found. On Sunday I was walking to the train station when I heard the smallest meow. I found a little cat, left alone in his carrier by an owner who no longer wanted him. We ran all over the city trying to find a safe place to get him cleaned up and checked out. I brought him to @nycacc and they were able to assure me he was healthy. After considering what would be best for Eloise, myself, and of course Francis, I decided to welcome Francis home. Wish us luck and peace as we slowly get the siblings acclimated. And join me in welcoming little Francis to the family.
