Already this Friday, the 20th at 18:00, we are opening the exhibition M.L.D.S. (Multidimensional Leak Detection System) by Lisbon based visual artist Márton Tóth @marutonkun The opening takes place at @maisunomaisum (Picoas metro) and will be accompanied by @drub1ei dj set. With this event, we are launching a series of experimental, Eastern-European-vibed events organized by Villa Karpatia. See u there xx M.L.D.S., or Multidimensional Leak Detection System may be a tool like a scanner or a camera, capable of capturing different layers and dimensions of space and revealing artefacts that flow from one layer to another, from one dimension into the next. M.L.D.S. serves to unearth and excavate through these layers, opening onto realities that feel both alien and intimate. Scale is no longer linear or stable, but fluid and elastic, overlapping spaces that feel cosmic and microscopic at the same time. It feels as though this mode of capture engages with spatial layers that human senses alone cannot recognize, and that can only be registered through this kind of special device, a detection system. Images evoke a sense of leaking, which can work as a connective substance stretching across and linking different realms, surfaces and spatio-temporalities. What emerges may be a new reality, or rather a superimposition of multiple possible realities layered over one another. The exhibition takes place in an underground passage leading to the metro, embracing its liminal nature and weathered conditions. M.L.D.S. is a form of contemporary digital escapism. Daydreaming an alternative, filtered reality while traversing the multitude of environments one passes day to day.

04.12.25 : at @cosmos.cac ■ LEA BERTUCCI (live show) Lea Bertucci is an artist working in the field of abstract music. Her creative fascinations include extensions of acoustic sound sources with electronics, non-hierarchical approaches to improvisation and composition, acoustic phenomena in the context of architecture, and non-linear approaches to time. Her live at Cosmos follows the release of her latest album, ‘The Oracle’ — a striking, vocal-focused collection of music that spans six tracks of adventurous sounds steeped in mysticism and imagination. ■ INÊS LIMA (installation) Inês Lima works with the analog medium as an experimental vehicle in her artistic practice, crossing personal themes with nature and ecology, traditions, memory, and superstitions. At Cosmos, she presents TKSG (Te Kiero Sabor Guaraná), the second short experimental film installation from the series TKKL (Te Kiero Kon Lokura). TKKL was initially inspired by a quote from ‘The Shape of a Pocket’ by John Berger - "But it is as if, at the brief moments I'm talking about, suddenly and disconcertingly, we see between two frames. We come upon a part of the visible which wasn't destined for us. Perhaps it was destined for night-birds, reindeer, ferrets, eels, whales...'' Made from sketches of diaries and projects from 2021 to 2024, the TKKL series searches for intermissions, fractions of seconds, the threshold of becoming. While TKKL is naive, with TKSG, Inês is searching for something so warm she might go up in flames. ■ DRUBLEI (dj set) Sandro Silva is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Almada. His practice is divided between painting and music, two distinct but complementary areas in his creative research. As a painter, he develops an autonomous body of work; as an emerging DJ and producer, he explores experimental ambient landscapes that are constructed from what he feels. ▪︎▪︎▪︎ Doors at 19h 6 eur (+3.5 eur Cosmos membership fee)
