@drtera ) to the CSP-FL team!
Tera will serve as our Sports Chiropractic and Performance Therapist at CSP-FL. She is a board-certified chiropractic physician who specializes in soft tissue injuries, rehabilitation and injury prevention, and return-to-play programming. She also holds a board-certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP).
Originally from Michigan, Dr. Tera graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and went on to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. Dr Tera then spent five years working in various outpatient sports medicine clinics where she treated a wide range of athletes.
In 2019, she moved to Las Vegas, NV where she spent the next four years on the sports medicine staff at the UFC Performance Institute (PI). There, she supported athletes both at the PI and on the road during their fight weeks, helping them overcome injuries and get back to their journey of fighting for a belt as quickly as possible. Dr. Tera then went on to join the staff of the WNBA Las Vegas Aces as their Assistant Medical Director, helping the team in their journey to win a World Championship in 2023.
Dr. Tera holds certifications in Active Release Technique, Fascial Manipulation, Graston Technique, RockTape, Cupping Therapy, Dry Needling, and is currently studying to become certified in Chiropractic Acupuncture. She is also certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, McKenzie, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and Blood Flow Restriction training, which she utilizes as part of her assessment and treatments to figure out the cause of dysfunction or pain and get her athletes back to performing optimally.
When she’s not working, you can find Dr. Tera spending time outdoors and at the beach with her two pups, Luna & Quinn. She also enjoys traveling, reading, golfing, attending concerts and sporting events, and finding the best new food or coffee spots in town. #cspfamily
