My heart is full full! What a day! ❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾 Huge thanks to everyone in the @inner_circles psychology and @ubuntu_entrepreneurs_circle communities who came together to recognise we have collectively HAD ENOUGH! In this here big big 2026, there is NO EXCUSE for leaders to lack compassion. Regardless of industry, we’re interacting with other human beings and we are all deserving of dignity and respect. Sounds obvious but on a daily basis we see companies make decisions that increase the suffering of others, whether their own staff, clients or customers. Yesterday, we challenged that narrative and I am so looking forward to seeing what we collectively do to change things for the better! To all panel members I extend a huge thank you. To @yourcareerandfuture thank you for holding the day together so beautifully; to @muneerah_dubidat and team, I appreciate your magic in making the day run smoothly. @wellnessprofessionalsatwork , @julie_creffield and @artbynicolerose - your workshops brought so much of the CIRCLES framework to life!❤️🙌🏾 Hope to see you next year for an even more enriching event!
@viasat - you were sublime in providing such dedicated support for our mission! Thank you!!!🙏🏾

🫵 Who the hell does she think she is?
Well, amongst other things, this is the first January where I can officially reintroduce myself as DR Stacy Moore.💪🏾🥳
I’ve been a qualified HCPC registered chartered psychologist for the best part of two decades but last year saw me graduate from an optional part time professional qualification to be able to use the Dr title.
At times it felt like a pointless hard slog, at others I was at the cutting edge of research into community engagement, indentity formation and maternal mental health.
When it finished, I was relieved and became so much more intentional about growing my business. I knew I had to expand my thinking as an entrepreneur.
I became a bit obsessed with local and national Communities of Practice - movements for positive change and social justice.
💪🏾 Supporting maternal mental health,
💪🏾 Employee and student wellbeing. 💪🏾The functions of workplaces and team dynamics.
💪🏾 Providing reflective supervision spaces in the community.
🤩 I realised my reflective supervision skills could serve diverse small businesses to NOT fold within the first few years, but to THRIVE and GROW, achieving collective success.
❓Did you know that diverse suppliers are the most underrepresented in corporates?
❓Did you know the added stress we receive from increased rejections disproportionately negatively impacts our overall wellbeing?
🙌🏾 I set up the Ubuntu Entrepreneurs’ Circle in Sept 2023 to support diverse small business owners to find a collective way to thrive and grow. As we individually succeed, we all succeed. And it has grown. And keeps growing. And this January 31st we’re having our first incredible community event sponsored by @viasat to set 2025 off in the right direction.🥳
I am so bowled over by the support of some serious heavyweights in business and entrepreneurship. We have over 10 speakers confirmed including @fsb_uk@msduk_news@growwithjessbruno@julie_creffield@kaleidaint@davidbhorne@darrenharrisgb@caseystewartsmith@themotherhoodgroup@dralkapateluk@wellnessprofessionalsatwork@heartofthecity__uk@gtexcommunity@vaseemgill@paretofm

It was a delight to support the work of @bupa.uk and @myleeneklass in rolling out some superb resources for parents to feel more confident in talking with their children about mental health.
As a psychologist and a mum of 2, it is a topic extremely close to my heart.
The resources are so relatable, accessible and bite size- perfect for proactively discussing with your pre-teen or adolescent child.
The statistics speak for themselves. 39% of parents worry about their child’s mental health. That’s a whopping 7.6million people. Around 25% of parents wish their child would open up more, realising that as they get older they actually say less.
Although it feels like we’re speaking different languages sometimes, we’ve got to get parents and children communicating again. Doesn’t have to be directly about mental health. Definitely shouldn’t be an interrogation! But we need ways of helping parents to broach this tricky area with greater confidence.
Try HEARD!
H: Finding out how they are really doing (above the “I’m fine”. Try asking open questions about their day, “How did you get through it?” “What’s the most random thing that happened?”
E: Empathise! A hot topic of mine, how can you demonstrate compassion and care. You may not get what they’re feeling but reminding them of your presence, curiosity and desire to support can make things just a little easier.
A: Acknowledge. Avoid the temptation to invalidate feelings you don’t understand or share your experiences. Validate what you hear by being truly present and reassuring them that if you don’t understand right now, you’ll be trying your hardest over time.
R: Reflect. Sometimes feels like we’re speaking a different language to our children. And to some extent, we are! So it’s important to reflect back to your child what you heard them say, giving them the opportunity to correct you if you missed the point.
D: Direct. This is about containing the next steps. You don’t have to have all or any of the answers. But you need to find a way to agree what you are jointly going to do next. Check back in a week to see if feelings are the same? Try a new strategy?
What a morning! But wouldn’t have had it any other way!
