To celebrate turning 76, I moved all day. Just my typical routine:
-100 jumping jacks
- headstand and handstand
- sun salutations and balance poses
- stretches including splits
- 90 sec deadhang
- 100 jumps on rebounder
- 9 minutes on vibration plate#
- 2 20 sec sprints on Carol bike
- 30 air squats and 100 pushups
- 25 min walk
- deadlifts up to 165 lbs
- barbell hip thrusts
- lat pull downs
- triceps pull downs
I do some variation of the above every day. Sometimes it’s more heavy resistance training with other exercises like chest presses and barbell squats, and other days more walking, yoga and Pilates.
But I always do some type of jumping, balance work, and strength training. I do all of this as snacks throughout the day. At 76, exercise is non-negotiable.
