“I can show you the world” - me to my mouthguard 😂
Having a built in mouthguard holder is definitely the most convenient part of being a woman in combat sports. ✅
But with great convenience come great responsibility to remember to take it out of your bra. 😂
As a result, my mouthguard has seen almost as much of the world as I have. 🌏🗺️

WHFGM: A family moment I never thought I’d get 🥹🫶
I filmed this about a year ago and wondered if I should post it. Being vulnerable in life is scary, but even more-so on the internet. 🫣
When I was thinking about all the things this sport has given me, I couldn’t look past this moment. 🥹
Both my parents had made the trip to come and support me in my quest to achieve something HUGE in the sport of MMA. They put their differences aside and we all went to dinner after weigh ins together. 🍱
That post weigh in dinner is always one of my favourite moments of fight time. It’s a moment of calm in the chaos of getting ready to go to war.
I soak in every moment with the people I love that I don’t get to see as much as I’d like to.
But this particular moment was one I’ll never forget and I’m grateful to have captured a small glimpse of it. 🥹😭💕

Where to start as a fighter on social media 🤳📱
You don’t have to be an influencer or a content creator to connect with people.
Just pick up your phone and start capturing your life as a fighter. 🎥💥👊
Don’t be afraid to talk to the camera, to show the “boring” stuff, or to suck at editing. Making content is like anything else in life. You will suck for a while, but if you keep at it, you will get better.
Building an audience and being a marketable fighter is really important these days. But no one expects you to be perfect first go. It’s actually more engaging when your posts are real and authentic.

The real flex is having a properly functioning body 💪
Competing in weight based sports is hard. Cutting weight is hard. But it needs to be done properly for your long term health. ⛑️
For women it’s a very big sign of something not being right (likely under fuelling), when they lose their cycle. For men it can be a lot harder to notice, but just as detrimental.
You should be tracking your performance and how you feel across your training. If you notice trends where you’re struggling, have no energy, can’t sleep, exhausted all the time, you’re likely doing damage to yourself.
It’s not a badge of honour, it’s the fastest way to ruin your body and kill your performance.
There’s so much information out there these days and so many professionals you can contact. But it’s on you to learn about what your body needs and how to get it to perform at its best.

Weight based sports can be tough mentally ⚖️😫
Making weight is only one part of it. The hardest part tends to be your relationship with food and your relationship with your body image. 🫣
I think every fighter has experienced struggles with one or the other at some point in their career.
Just know that you ARE NOT ALONE! 🫶
While the journey is different for everyone, I can confidently say that you won’t regret working with a professional. Not just to make weight safely, but to fuel your body to perform at its best and help you with your relationship with food and your body image. Not to mention your overall health. 🙌⛑️
