For this drink, we reimagine cà phê sữa đá, the classic Vietnamese iced coffee, by adding our salted pandan syrup. Inspired by a flavor that shows up in so many Vietnamese sweets, pandan brings a soft, coconut-vanilla note that feels familiar and comforting, while the touch of salt adds depth and keeps the drink lively and balanced.
We also recommend adding flan on top. It turns the drink into a little moment of nostalgia, like when we were kids running after school to a dessert shop for flan over crushed ice and coffee.
Every sip is a mix of creamy sweetness, fragrant pandan, and rich, bold coffee. It is a playful twist on a beloved classic that still feels like home.

Fish Sauce Coffee | Cà Phê Mắm
We create this drink inspired by flavors in Vietnamese cooking, with balance and intention.
It starts with robusta coffee from Pleiku, Việt Nam, dripped through a phin, the way we first learned to make and enjoy coffee back home. Toasted rice cream is inspired by the comforting aroma of rice gently browning in a pan. It brings a smooth, nutty richness that softens and rounds out the coffee.
Then there is the fish sauce syrup. It might catch you off guard at first, but it is something we reach for every day in Vietnamese cooking. Here, it does what it always does, adding depth, a touch of savoriness, and a light sweetness that makes everything feel more complete.
For us, fish sauce coffee is the drink that feels both familiar and new, built from ingredients we know by heart.
