“When I was asked to create this year’s San Jose Day merch, I wasn’t sure at first. I’ve always let the work speak through my brands — not through me as a person. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized…this was a chance to give something back. Not just to the city, but to the people who helped shape my journey.
Introducing “Ryan & Friends” — a collaboration series rooted in San Jose streetwear history and the relationships that made it all possible.
This project, along with the documentary we’ve been filming, gave me the space to reflect on everything — the wins, the struggles, the memories — and more importantly, the people behind it all.
It reminded me that none of this was ever done alone.
