The @patriotallamerica Golf Championship stands out not only for its 54-hole stroke-play competition but also for its tribute to military heroes. At the opening ceremony, each golfer is presented with a commemorative PING golf bag, bearing the name and branch of a fallen or wounded hero. The golfers then visit Luke Air Force Base, the training center for F-16 and F-35 fighter pilots where they have the unique opportunity to meet the General, interact with fighter pilots and crew, and participate in activities typically off-limits to civilians.
