🍔 New Gas Grills for Airmen at Luke AFB! We're thrilled to share that thanks to the support of Brink & Sons Gas Services, Fighter Country Foundation has installed new gas grills around the dorms at Luke Air Force Base, giving Airmen a much-needed alternative for cooking now that the DFAC is closed for renovations until the summer of 2026. At the ribbon-cutting event, Luke leadership and several Blue Blazer Squadron members gathered to present the new grills and enjoy a cookout featuring burgers and hot dogs. Bob Bambauer, Chairman of Fighter Country Foundation, shared the story behind the grills and expressed hope that this new option would be a great addition for our Airmen during this time of transition. A1C Bliss and SrA Woytowich were the first to fire up the new grills, excited for the opportunity to cook with gas after being restricted from using the old charcoal grills due to dorm regulations. This simple upgrade makes a huge difference in providing a better quality of life for those who serve! Ribbon Cutting: New Food Pantry at Luke Air Force Base! On Friday, February 7, 2025, we celebrated the soft opening of the new Luke Air Force Base Food Pantry, an important resource for Airmen and their families. This new facility was made possible thanks to the incredible support of our generous partners and dedicated volunteers. A special thank you to Pam Giannonatti from @krogerfamily / @frysfoodstores , who presented Fighter Country Foundation with a $30,000 check from the Zero Hunger Zero Waste Foundation, helping us stock the pantry with essential supplies for those in need. We also want to recognize PepsiCo Gatorade of Tolleson and Willmeng Construction for their continued support and for making the renovation of this facility a reality. Luke AFB leadership and several 1st Sergeants were also in attendance, who will oversee the pantry’s operations, ensuring it’s a resource that benefits the men and women who serve at Luke AFB. This is just one of the many ways Fighter Country Foundation continues to support our Airmen and their families. We’re proud to provide this resource and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the Luke AFB community.
