This week we open, ANALOGUE AMALGAMATION, a group show of over 40 artists that explores the art studio as both a workspace and listening room, where music operates as a quiet but persistent force in structuring time, guiding movement and influencing decisions.
The show is in collaboration with Tunnel Records (
@tunnelrecords ) who has curated a selection of LPs to complement the art as LOOK WEST morphs into part art gallery, part record store, all analogue.
We have some really rad merch being released on opening night, including these Extra Classic zoetrope slipmats inspired by the sounds of 1970s Jamaica, and designed by the amazing Drew Tetz (
@drewtetz ).
The exhibition opens this Saturday, April 25th, from 5-9PM AT LOOK WEST along with Nightfall HiFi (
@nightfall.hifi ) providing the sound to fill your souls with the joy that can only resonate from exxtra large speakers. Guest DJs on the tables all day/night including
@natswope @jazmatazzzy @groovemerchantsf @pat.michael.murphy @treatunice and probably maybe more. We’ll have plenty to drink for everyone and your friends and if we don’t we’ll get more so come early, stay late and catch a vibe.
