It is with great love from me to announce the birth of my new collection of sound babies into this world! TWIST OF FATE is an album dedicated to my beautiful life long partner and the loving memory of one of the best friends I’ve ever had. Both have changed, shaped and shown me that there can be a light in life even in the darkest of times. They’ve taught me love exists if you hang on tight and work to find that better life. These songs are a testament to the passion for living that they have given me. I invite you to have a listen wherever you like to stream music. WAZZZZUP Y’ALL!!! Today I am releasing into the world a collection of improvised, instrumental piano compositions. The title track was the catalyst that was written and recorded on July 31st 2021. It was a direct response to navigating the emotions of dealing with the cancer that would end up taking the life of my father shortly there after. It was recorded on a stormy, thunder filled evening in my home in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The remaining untitled compositions were improvised live a few years later in the blistering summer month of July 2025 in my current home in Algiers, New Orleans. The blazing heat of those days and nights of that summer can be heard in the background from a blasting air conditioner unit as I tried to cope with the all too familiar New Orleans heat and swamp filled humidity. Tickling the ivories was not only a help to dealing with the summer swell, but also a much needed therapy device to combat my feelings exposed from the loss of love and friendship over the last few years. While never intended to be shared publicly, I have come to terms with the ghosts and demons that have plagued me for years, and have decided to share these therapeutic moments with my followers. After a 13 year absence from the planet, Mad Martians finally returned on New Years Day 2026 and stepped into a room to make some noise. Improvised live in one take, the band flushed out the tension and anxiety that they are familiar for with a defined sharpness in attack. 2025 has been one of the most musically productive years for me and looking back on the accomplishments brings me joy for the future of music in my life. Here’s a quick recap: Started the year landing on @wtul and their annual songs from the basement compilation. Loved listening to this one and only New Orleans radio station throughout the year so being included was an honor. I dealt with some demons and finally unearthed the last of @thequarterrats recordings and laid it to rest. Still very proud of the music that was made. I created my official creative label Primitive Postures and along with @thestrangedaisy we released my new solo album Twist Of Fate! It is an album of love dedicated to my life partner Trish and the loving memory of my dearest friend and collaborator Rando Amsterdam. I miss him so much every day. I was asked to join and play guitar for @fakelastnameband and it’s been great making music for my good friend Ronni and bringing their immaculate songwriting to life. We rallied and put together a raucous set that I had the pleasure of recording which saw an official cassette release a few months ago. Highly recommended for all you DIY No Wave punk lovers! In turn, Ronni, Julien and I took our love of No Wave and experimentation to a new collaborative project we have dubbed PATTERN FIG. To say I’m excited for the future of this band would be a huge understatement. The end of the year also brought one of my songs to the first Strange Daisy Christmas compilation alongside so many other wonderful New Orleans artists. It was a super fun challenge to write a Christmas song which is something I’ve never done. With the help of my great friends Adam Escue and Shawn Cutts, I think we knocked it out of the park! This year also saw the start of sitting down with @landlockedseas and going through hours of rehearsal recordings and finally starting to put together and mix what will become the next album! Lastly, my album Twist Of Fate was selected to be part of @nolalibrary Crescent City sounds collection for 2025! I love the library and so should you!
