To all the Consultant Dermatologists - I urge you to share this.
What a fabulous day of skin consultations focussing on the importance of maintenance and preservation of skin health. The 2-day event was hosted by @skinceuticals and @blanketlondon and allowed us to focus our attention on protection from ultraviolet radiation, oxidative stress and accumulation of advanced glycation end products (markers of general inflammation).
Isn’t the room just beautiful @babingtonhouse 🤍 I was also able to wear my gorgeous beyond belief @thevampireswife scrubs which couldn't have been more perfect for the setting.
Great to enjoy the company and have endless discussions on skin with @adeolagboyega@emmahoareau@freshlengths@nadinebaggott@salihughes@peonylim@annievischer@sebinaah@georgialday@daninicholls

I made a promise to answer some of your burning questions I received under the ‘Skin: An Owner’s Guide x Klira Dayscript’ Giveaway Reel (scroll down my feed to enter, there is still time!)
The first question is related to fungal nails and medication. I hope this helps you @helenjansenboels and anyone else who may have been wondering the same.
If you work outdoors, your skin is dealing with UV exposure day after day - even when it’s cloudy or doesn’t feel particularly warm.
I know a lot of people in construction avoid SPF because it can feel greasy or uncomfortable on site, with dust perhaps sticking on their face. But there are lightweight fluid formulas that sit much more comfortably on the skin throughout the day such as @larocheposay Oily Skin Fluid and @altruistsun Face Fluid.
Protecting your skin should be considered just as important as the rest of your protective equipment!

Daily SPF is non-negotiable. For our founder, Dr. Emma Craythorne, protecting skin is about consistency: SPF every morning to help defend against daily UV exposure, followed by The Klira Special at night
- her bespoke prescription formula designed to support skin repair, collagen health and long-term skin function.
Protect during the day. Support repair overnight.
Most melanomas are linked to UV exposure, but not all of them.
During Skin Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to talk about the melanomas that appear in places people often least expect - under nails, on the soles of the feet, the palms of the hands and even within old burn scars.
One of the biggest reasons these cancers are diagnosed late is because people don’t realise skin cancer can develop in areas where the sun has never shone.
If you notice a lesion, mark or growth on your skin that you can’t explain, please get it checked.
Is this dermatology's best kept secret? 👀🤫
