Thank you for the video 📷🙏@inspo__frame
I gràcies també a tots els partners implicats per fer-ho possible. @we.sound@dreamingopenly@parcourslemonde_se@freestyle.lab
🌍 Many sustainability challenges are not just complicated: they are complex.
This means there is no single clear definition of the problem. And no single main solution.
💡 One helpful way to visualise this comes from framework of the 5 dimensions of regeneration.
They describe sustainability through four interconnected dimensions:
🌿 Ecological
🤝 Social
💰 Economic
🧭 Cultural / Worldview
And a fifth element connecting them all:
🌀 Systemic thinking
Because no dimension exists in isolation.
Even if we often cannot address the root causes of complex problems immediately, keeping them visible, and integrating them in a developing frame, matters.
This helps us to:
avoid short-term fixes that create long-term harm
align actions with deeper transformation
stay connected to a bigger vision
As Joanna Macy describes in The Great Turning, change happens through many complementary paths. Some
key paths are:
practical actions
systemic change
shifts in consciousness
💭 Reflection:
Think about a sustainability issue you care about.
Which dimensions are involved?
Which ones are often ignored?
How would a more holistic framing change your approach?
You don’t need to solve everything. But how you see the problem already shapes the future you move toward.

☀️ #SoLARPex is here! 🌱🎭
At the end of January, we met up in Galicia with @bregal_asociacion , @associazionekora and @artmarket_lv for the kick-off of our new KA2 Cooperation Partnership project #SoLARPex: The Solarpunk Larping Experience 💥
This one is a continuation of our beloved @sola.rpg . We’re expanding the SOLA universe, going deeper into how solarpunk fits into our educational work, and experimenting with LARPing as a learning tool 😁
It was a really nice and quite intense week. We went through everything that’s coming in the next months, shared ideas, bonded as a group (of course, escape rooms were involved again 👀), and took part in really valuable training sessions with such an inspiring organization like@kidcode_academy 🤖
We also took some time to enjoy Galicia properly, including a tasting of local, fair trade products 🍲
This is just the beginning, and we’re really happy to be on this journey for the next two years ✨
We’ll keep you posted along the way, as this is a process we want to open up, and at some point, we’d love some of you to test it out 😉
Big thanks to BreGal for hosting and to all partners for being part of it.
More SOLA coming soon 👀🌱
Continuing our exploration of Problem Framing, let’s look at a practical tool:
🎭 the 6 Thinking Hats approach.
Often, we assume there is one “correct” way to understand a problem.
But what if the issue is not the problem itself - but the lens we use?
The 6 hats method invites us to look at the same situation from different perspectives:
Neutral / Factual - What do we actually observe?
Emotions - How do we feel about it?
Critical/Cautious - What could go wrong?
Possibilities/Benefits - What opportunities are there?
Creativity - What new ideas are possible?
Process/Overview - How do we organise our thinking?
💡 This matters because:
Different people frame the same problem in different ways.
And conflicts often arise not from the issue itself, but from incompatible framings.
💭 A critical question:
Are we disagreeing about solutions or about what the problem actually is?
🌍 In sustainability, this is everywhere:
Is plastic pollution a waste issue, a consumption issue, or a production issue?
Is energy transition a technological challenge or a social one?
Each framing leads to different actions.
✨ This is where problem framing becomes powerful - and delicate.
If we simplify too much, we miss important dimensions. If we overcomplicate, we may feel stuck and not act at all.
💭 Reflection:
Take a current issue you see in the news or your community.
Try to “wear” at least 3 different hats.
What changes in your understanding?
What new possibilities appear?
Sometimes, better thinking is not about finding answers but expanding the question.

🌍 A new month begins in our GreenComp Year within the SAGE - Sustainable Actions through Green Education project.
Each month we explore one sustainability competence through three short posts, an article, and an online workshop.
🌱 This time we focus on Problem Framing, part of the area “Embracing complexity in sustainability.”
Framing a problem is, at its core, asking:
💡 Are we asking the right questions?
How we define a challenge shapes how we understand it, and how we act on it.
Some problems seem simple because we describe them in a simple way.
Others feel overwhelming because we start to see their complexity.
Sustainability challenges often require an understanding of the context, seeing its relationships and questioning assumptions.
For example:
Is climate change only an environmental issue? Or also about economy, power, lifestyles, and history?
Problem framing invites us to pause before acting and ask ourselves what perspectives are missing and who is defining the problem. But framing is not just analytical, it’s also creative: we need to allow ourselves to imagine alternatives in order to act towards them.
💭 Reflection:
Think of a problem you care about.
How is it usually described?
What might be missing in that description?
How would it look from another perspective?
Seeing differently is often the first step to acting differently.

And we feel it’s time to pause, come together, and create spaces to speak about it.
💜 DOPE presents: Resistance Futures Lab vol.1 — Memory as Resistance: Antifascist Stories in Times of Systemic Collapse
📅 25 April, 17:00
📍 Zschochersche Straße 50
💸 Free entry
On Saturday 25 April, we’re launching a new series of events in Leipzig: Resistance Futures Lab 🛠️ Throughout the year, we’ll be organising events exploring different socio-political issues of our time, experimenting with artistic formats, and creating space for dialogue and collective empowerment.
For this first edition, and marking 25 April, a key date for Italy, Portugal, and antifascist struggles worldwide, we want to focus on memory as a tool for resistance ✊🏾
Under the title “Memory as Resistance: Antifascist Stories in Times of Systemic Collapse”, we’ll reflect on these shared experiences and try to make sense of the present, while imagining other possible futures.
We’ll screen the ARTE documentary Portugal: April 1974, along with other pieces connected to 25 April in Italy, and then open up a group discussion using non-formal methods 🎥💬
And to close the day, an aperitif and a DJ set to bring a bit of light into these heavy times 🍷🎶
Come by and join the conversation 👀
Are We Asking the Right Questions? The crucial importance of Problem Framing

Powered by the GreenComp Year in SAGE, co-financed by the EU and co-created by DOPE (Germany), Arterra Bizimodu (Spain), and ICAD (Poland).
After starting the year in France, our team gathered in Galicia for our annual kick-off. This year, it was finally time to discover Galicia together 🇪🇸
A moment to look back at everything we built in 2025, to plan what’s coming next, and to take some time to just be together 🖤
We decided to spend a couple of days wearing out our soles, walking the Camino de Santiago. The Galician rain was definitely there (as expected), but it didn’t stop us from enjoying being together, without any screens in the way 🌧️
2026 is already shaping up to be a big one… and we’re looking forward to sharing what’s coming next 👀✨
