24-hour "Komponistinnen" Piano Marathon Vol. 2: "A Room Full of Voices" 17/18 May - St. Elisabeth Kirche Berlin 00:00 Charlotte Botterill @charbotterill (*1989) Contemplation #1, #2, #3 (2021-2024) - World Premiere (only #2) Contemplation #2 is taken from Contemplations, a collection of pieces for piano and vocalising pianist. Composed between 2021 and 2024, this collection explores different meanings of the word “alone”, whether feeling isolated, unseen, yearning for a meaningful connection, or finding enjoyment in your own company. The human voice represents our truest feelings, those which are often suppressed by the noise of daily life. Using the pianist’s voice draws attention to this important part of ourselves and serves as a reminder of the delicacy of the human experience. Ann Cleare (*1983) Tintrí (Lightings): 1. My father lives quietly in my heart Love soaks dried tears. A beautiful weekend at Rocherpan. Pink gin, long walks, and blissful afternoon sleeps on the hammock with the sea in the distance and pink flamingos chattering nearby.
