@runrocknroll Half Marathon ✅
Just under a 6min PR on this course after 4 months of base building work. Wanted sub 1:50 but fell off the last couple miles (that last hill 🥵). Happy with the preparation and effort though.
More importantly, I had so much fun preparing and racing today. Ive enjoyed leaning into running recently and haven’t been this excited to train for something in quite a while.
I’ve never considered myself a “runner” or “endurance athlete”, so I figure I need to challenge and shift that belief. I’m planning a few more events this year but the end goal is the @rundisney marathon in January.
Guess I’m a hybrid athlete now 🤷🏻♂️

Spring sunshine, sweet sisters, and a little bunny magic 🐰🌸
Grateful for these moments we wish we could freeze forever.
And the biggest thank you to @brookeruffphotography for capturing it all so beautifully 🥹💛
Hope you guys have been prepping your quads for this better than I have 🫠 Full on quad cramps for me - hopefully these tips help you feel fully prepared for your attempt.
📲Be sure to share with your squad if you plan to get after this weekend!

Moving well starts from the inside out.
Ben Moore, the leader of our PT team @evo.pt , teaches that everything begins at the core. Breathing mechanics come first. From there we build scapular stability, then strength and movement through the extremities.
This is the pattern we use in warm-ups, mobility work, and training itself. When you skip a layer, you leave yourself less prepared and more vulnerable. When you build from the foundation up, you open new levels of performance.
Having Ben and his team in our corner means more than helping athletes recover from injury or correct imbalances. They also equip our coaches to be the front line of defense by teaching us how to recognize and address issues before they become problems.
This is just another way of showing what it means to coach the whole person.
🩷✨ FIVE 🖐🏼🥳
