While I've been focused on corporate spaces for a good majority of my career, my journey started with college students.
They are a group that hold my heart, because so much learning and development takes place in a college classroom.
As a former adjunct professor, I cut my teeth as a speaker by walking the floors of classrooms at community colleges in the Southern California area for almost 10 years.
It taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences - a skill I will use in my work, but also in my life - for the rest of my life.
To return home last month and lead a session with these amazing students in the CalWorks program at Orange Coast College, did my heart good. 🩷

This work trip started off rocky with crazy weather, a canceled 7:00 am flight, and TSA and Delta Lounge line drama at the airport.
I made it safely to Baltimore, thanks to Sky Daddy and so many hard working people just trying to do their jobs. 🙏🏾
This two-day keynote engagement with Talley was a great experience and the response made the travel headaches worth it! They were a great group and we had impactful discussions about leadership, communication, and navigating conflict.
I didn’t see much of Baltimore but did have a crab cake. And a drank. lol I’ll be back when it’s warmer!
