Unable to let go, he becomes consumed by self-improvement in the hope of reclaiming what he has lost. Premise: Homeless and down on his luck, Jasper exists on begging and finding dropped coins, and even the seagulls seem to plague him wherever he goes. But just when he thinks he might end it all, Jasper comes to realise that a curse might be a blessing after all.
