Well, what a brilliant weekend I’ve had in my hometown of Barrow. Think the arts are in safe hands… Friday, went to the Dock Museum and saw artist John Duffin’s latest collection. Left there, went to see the hero that is Ian McNabb at Lesley Harris NWMA - North West Music Academy, which was ace. Then had the privilege of being in the sold-out The Sea House Music Venue to see two of my films, thanks to the good soul that is Shaun Blezard and then witnessed a set by Jon Byrne, which moved me incredibly. Made all the more special to be sat alongside Julie Edwards, Andy Ellis and the talent that is Rob Lloyd, John Rennie, Scott Mason, Erin Pennington and Morgan Coulter.
I want to thank everyone who came to watch. Really moved by the whole experience. Barrow’s ace, don’t forget it. My mam, said it was and she was right. x

Wow! I’m thrilled to say that our short film THE SUMMER’S GONE has won PICK OF THE FESTIVAL and BEST SHORT FILM @folkestonefilmfest 2026. I believe there were 400 submissions to the Kent festival. It’s nice the hard work of the talented cast and crew has been recognised nationally - especially as the film was shot in my hometown of Barrow-in Furness, with a cast and crew made up of Barrovians. Thanks so much to everyone at Folkestone Film Festival. I’m dead chuffed.
