You guys want your kdss system to live a long life? Take the cover off the accumulator and hose it down at least 1-2 times a year. If you live in area with a lot of salt on the roads from having a lot of ice or snow. I’d say do it at least once a quarter!

Most Toyota owners don’t spend enough time detailing / cleaning the underside which still blows my mind. Other brand owners I find don’t have this issue. Anyway, the accumulator is made from aluminum. Aluminum will for sure corrode with those salty conditions. So , hose it down and go as far as using some kind of water repellent like wax spray , dry lube , wd40 , ceramic coating … basically whatever you need to do to prevent the salt from eating away the accumulator!

By far the most important part that I sell ( and on the market ) for the kdss equipped 4Runners / GX460 ( eventually 470s) and Prado150. I get ppl all the time passing these up over the kdss control and/ or adapters. Adapters are for sure important, but if you can’t keep the sway bar centered and kdss shock away from the frame , then all the adapters are going to do is actually make it easier for the sway bar to shift. The reason is when those rubber straps start to fail , the adapters giving a better angle for outside bushings and no more bind. Now the sway bar has less resistance to slide over. But, you have to actually try to comprehend what is going on or at least want to know. Once you know that those factory rubber straps being glued/metal strapped combo is a joke and will eventually fail, then these become highest priority for kdss.

While kdss control is an awesome luxury item, keeping that front sway bar “ UNDER CONTOL “ is where it’s at to prolong the life of the system.

Remember , if you go back to the inception of these clamps. They will keep that kdss front shock away front smacking the frame which is / was an issue ppl have been chasing over the last 12 years and more.

Rear-end sway at highway speeds isn’t something you ignore—especially in a lifted Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series loaded up for overland travel.
Ever since we lifted the OVR LC100, we noticed that familiar side-to-side fishtail movement. The fix came down to correcting panhard bar geometry, and the @dr_kdss B.O.T.C.K delivered exactly that. Simple bolt-on install, no cutting or welding, and a noticeable difference in stability both on-road and off.
About 100 miles of testing so far, the rear-end wander is gone and the truck feels planted again. Special thanks to the crew at @rpmoffroadgarage for the install and alignment!
