The largest curated gravel & bikepacking route network in the eastern U.S. is here. 🚴‍♂️🌄 Introducing the Mon Forest Gravel & Bikepacking Route Network — 66 routes and nearly 5,000 miles of riding across the Monongahela National Forest. From rail-trail cruisers to rugged backcountry epics, this network connects nearly one million acres of public land with 12 mountain towns along the way. This is a new way to experience the Mon —
where every ride links landscapes, communities, and stories across the mountains of West Virginia. A huge thank you to the partners, collaborators, and the entire Mon Forest community who helped bring this vision to life. Start planning your ride. Links in bio.

We’ve been working on something exciting, and now we need your help! The Endless Gravel PA route network will be expanding to include day routes, and we need riders to help us test them out and appear in the highlight photos. The routes will start from 12 towns throughout our 4 counties, with the target to publish 30+ day rides this season. @aldenroth2 , who you might know as our filmmaker on the onewheel from last year’s Grand Depart, is leading the photography portion of our route project. Over the next few weeks, he’ll be here riding all of these routes and taking photos, and he’s looking for people to ride with and photograph. We have a variety of routes, and we need a variety of people in the photos! So whether you’re down for a short morning ride or an all-day adventure, we want to ride with you! Would you like to test some of these routes with Alden and be included in the photos? Comment below if you’re interested, or message us directly, and we will figure out which routes and dates work for everyone!

The Elk Rut Ramble drops on youtube Thursday at 7p! I’m really stoked with how this one turned out - still a short film, but a bit longer than the last two. Please head over to youtube, set up premiere notifications, and like and comment once the video goes live. /watch?v=j5hok3oBvEU (clickable in my bio) The Elk Rut Ramble is a 225-mile bikepacking route based out of Emporium, PA, that follows the roaming range of Pennsylvania’s wild elk herd, combining the possibility of elk encounters with big climbs, dark skies, rich history, expansive public lands, and quiet connections between small mountain communities. Episode 55 is live! Israel or Palestine? Damascus, Syria or Damascus, Virginia? West Virginia or Western Virginia? To David Landis, all are points on a map. David has made it his mission to find shared humanity across borders, even in conflict zones like the Middle East, through hiking and bikepacking trails. Having first visited the Middle East for a semester abroad during his university studies, David returned there to live for almost a decade. During his travels in the region, David experienced the incredible kindness of people he met, with several becoming lifelong friends. He’s also felt the sorrow of having some of those friends or their relatives killed in violent episodes that continue throughout the Middle East. As someone who has tried long-distance hiking, bicycle touring, and bikepacking racing (surviving waist-deep snow and concrete-like "death mud" on the grueling Tour Divide), David has come to the conclusion that, somehow, it’s all about the people and building trails that connect them. #accidentalbicycletourist
