EN: Dogo is opening the Studio at the Krone in Lichtensteig – with Alice Köppel (CH), Dana Ferrari (AR), Lily Pellaud (CH), Lino Stirnimann (CH), Thom Driver (UK). The artists in attendance will offer insights into the themes and processes they have been exploring during their residency over the past few weeks. Two weekends ago, during this special time of the year, when all the cherry trees blossom, I went to see my timeless friend #LenaLoxterkamp, 25 years have past since we’ve last seen each other. What a magical moment, today she is a talented masque designer and we decided to make a photoshoot together.
Another dear friend #JuneYu celebrated her birthday, and without spending a second of consideration she slipt for me into this wonderful prepared wolf head made by masque designer #PaulaKarer and #JennyBlumenthal.
The idea is based on one of these magical drawings by @double_espresso_please I came to see during his residency @foundation_b.a.d_rotterdam
A big thank you also to @neuezukunftstralau in Berlin for letting us use their spirited space :)

Documentation from my recent work, CAVE PAINTINGS, developed while on residency @openateliers_zuidoost this summer.
CAVE PAINTINGS grew out of an ancient bar joke that lost its meaning. Using the joke's form as a frame, voices emerge from the dark following surreal narrative paths that echo and loop around the concrete space.
CAVE PAINTINGS – Geluidskunstinstallatie Thom Driver
Kunstenaar en muzikant Thom Driver is sinds eind juni resident bij Open Ateliers Zuidoost. Tijdens zijn verblijf bij OAZO doet hij onderzoek naar en ontwikkelt hij een nieuwe geluidskunstinstallatie. Door gebruik te maken van de natuurlijke echo’s heeft hij de OAZO-galerieruimte omgevormd tot een soort grot. Stemmen komen tevoorschijn uit het donker en volgen een surrealistisch verhaal, omlijst door terugkerende variaties op een eeuwenoude bargrap...
