We are pleased to invite you to engage with the practice of Sheetal Gattani, a Mumbai-based contemporary artist whose meditative abstract works explore formlessness, materiality, texture, and the quiet language of colour.
A graduate of the Sir J.J. School of Art, Gattani completed her Diploma in Art Education in 1990 and her M.F.A. in Painting in 1993. Her practice moves beyond representation, embracing an intuitive and process-driven approach where surfaces are layered, scraped, peeled, and reworked over time. Through restrained palettes and ritualistic labour, her works create contemplative spaces that invite stillness, introspection, and sensory engagement.
Recognised for her minimalist visual language and deeply immersive surfaces, Gattani has exhibited extensively across India and internationally.
We warmly invite artists, curators, collectors, students, and members of the wider creative community to attend and engage with her practice and process.

Remembering a day when time slowed down and stories came alive.
Walking through the soul of Old Nashik with our 10 wonderful artists was deeply inspiring - every lane, every façade, every forgotten detail became a spark for new ideas.
Grateful to @nashik_katha for guiding us through the city’s historic heart and sharing the rich narratives behind its iconic establishments. What a creatively energising experience this was.
Some journeys don’t just take you to places — they take you inward.

We are deeply thankful for the rare and meaningful connections that art makes possible across time and place. At the #GreatEasternMills, Oracle Machine Mumbai by #HeinerGoebbels found not just a venue, but a story waiting to be rediscovered.
We are especially grateful for the remarkable resonance between continents - this work was first conceived at Germany’s Völklinger Hütte (established in 1873) and found a powerful echo in Mumbai’s Great Eastern Mill, which shares that very same year of origin. What seemed like a coincidence became a quiet, profound dialogue between two industrial histories.
Through sound, light, and archival voices, the installation transformed the space into a living memory - connecting Germany and India, past and present. For this, we are thankful for the way art transcends boundaries and brings histories into conversation.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the German Consulate Mumbai for collaborating with Dot Line Space Art Foundation to make this world premiere possible, and to everyone who worked behind the scenes to bring this vision to life.
We are equally thankful to celebrate the work of #HeinerGoebbels - one of Germany’s most acclaimed contemporary artists, known for his groundbreaking approach to music theatre and sound installations that merge history, text, and visual space into immersive experiences.
His first exhibition in India, Landscape Plays, presented in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Mumbai( @goethemumbai ) , is currently on view at the Bhau Daji Lad Museum (@bdlmuseum ) until 31 May - offering audiences another opportunity to engage with his extraordinary artistic language.
A heartfelt reminder: art doesn’t just travel - it connects, and for that, we are truly grateful.
