We did it! 20K followers! 💕 When we made our very first post in early 2025, we never could’ve imagined where this journey would take us. What started as a small seed of an idea has grown into a rising creative studio surrounded by an incredibly supportive community. Along the way, there have been challenges, experiments, setbacks, and breakthroughs, but our team kept pushing forward, creating work to be proud of. A big part of the process was building procedural systems that allowed us to create flexible animations and evolving compositions while keeping everything visually consistent across the project. New work for @showpad ! 📺 We got the opportunity to introduce Showpad's renewed visual identity, by producing a dynamic showcase of the brand’s updated look and feel. This production started with a clear defined brand and pre-existing storyboards. Our challenge at DOT4 was to faithfully recreate that visual language within our Blender pipeline. It required a careful balance between recreation and interpretation, ensuring consistency with the original vision while still adding a layer of refinement and depth that enhances the overall visual experience. The final result is a film that brings together multiple disciplines into one cohesive video, translating Showpad’s new identity into an engaging motion piece. PETALS Breakdown 🔧 Our latest visual and technical exploration, shaped through Blender’s Geometry Nodes, Procedural Shaders and Cloth sims. Watch how we go from a single petal skeleton to a full-on flower. We really pushed geo-nodes this time by; - Stacking matrix transforms for bendable and simulated skeletons. - Generating pseudo-weighted petal meshes. To then combine everything in a complicated cloth sim. Slightly hacky at times, but together with the procedural shaders, we created a technical and visually stunning result. PETALS 🌸 Love is in the details. As Valentine’s Day approaches, we’ve been exploring the beauty of organic growth through this unfolding flower animation. To achieve the movement of the petals, we used Blender and the procedural power of Geometry Nodes. This workflow allowed us to maintain a balance between mathematical precision and the soft, natural "imperfections" that make floral motion feel alive. Relax approached us to help bring the project to life, trusting us with the creation and execution of a concept tailored to the BoursoBank brand. SIGNED - Let’s break it down! 🔧 Our latest motion design piece, inspired by the typical street signs of the Netherlands. What started as a small project became our biggest in-house production yet. Together with the music of @blairtblairt and the sticker designs of @tego.gratos , it transformed into a piece we’re all incredibly proud of. In this breakdown, we show you a high-level overview of what the process of creating SIGNED entailed. From gathering references to modelling modular assets, all the way to our convoluted SDF shaders. @blender.official has become really powerful with its set of geometry nodes. Allowing us to quickly create complex structures, scatter stickers and more. We look forward to all the future developments and are eager to explore what the tool will bring to us in the field of motion design. On top of that, we want to thank everyone for the kind messages. SIGNED ⛔️ We’re extremely excited to share our latest in-house project! You’ll want your sound on for this one! 🔊 The goal of SIGNED was to prove how far we can push high-intensity motion design. Built in Blender, this project combines 2D & 3D animation, geometry nodes that bend and warp space, and signed distance fields that bring shapes to life across surfaces. SIGNED is about communication and impact. Grabbing attention, sparking curiosity, and showing how even a simple street sign can transform into something extraordinary. By pushing this everyday object into a new dimension, we’re showing what DOT4 does best: elevating the ordinary into the unforgettable. 🎵 Huge credit to @blairtblairt for the incredible original music. His track became the backbone of the entire video, guiding the pacing of the edit and giving the whole piece its unpredictability. We honestly couldn’t imagine this project without it. 🌐 A special thanks as well to @tego.gratos for their amazing sticker designs, which added the perfect gritty, street-inspired edge to our visuals. Their work was a natural fit, and we’re so glad they collaborated with us on this piece. 💥 And of course, a massive shoutout to our DOT4 team.
