When you start this sport it’s incredibly intimidating! You walk in, you see jacked guys/girls beating each other up, and they all look like they know what they’re doing! You feel like you’re a burden being a beginner. You couldn’t be more wrong! The longer you PERSIST you’ll come to the realization that you BELONG in that room, because you’re still around! Through years of persistence you’ll catch up! That’s the only reason the people you were intimidated by at first, looked as good as they did, they stuck around!
I don’t know a martial artist who didn’t look as dorky as the first clip, who didn’t think about quitting, who didn’t tear up after a practice, who wasn’t scared on their first day.
One day you’ll look back and go wow, I really did that, I did the hardest thing ever, and along the way I made the greatest friendships, I learned to lose and through loss I learned.
Also you might lose your hair, I don’t know results may vary! 🤣
