“The Silk Road might feel like a distant echo of the past—but what if a noodle could be your time machine?
A way to travel back on a journey that stretched across centuries.”
On May 22nd, I invite you to step into the Dahai Noodle Theater.
It’s not a performance, but an immersive experience—a story told through hands and flour.
We depart from the twilight of Berlin, heading eastward.
This is a bold experiment—an attempt to manifest four distinct hand-pulling techniques in one single sitting: Stretch, Pull, Tear, and Hang.
These are more than culinary methods; they are the living, flowing history of the Silk Road.
Join me at Dot Tea Bar in this friday evening. Let’s share a warm bowl of Eight Treasures Tea, and soothe that deep sense of Fernweh (a longing for far-off places) together.
About the Concept:
In 2023, Dahai traveled the Silk Road from Berlin to Foshan, China, mastering the ancient art of noodle-pulling along the way.
Since 2024, he has hosted workshops in Berlin, inviting people to feel the dough with their own hands.
Now, in 2026, this journey has evolved into the Noodle Theater—a form to tell the complete story of the thread that connects us all.
🍜 RESERVATIONS:
Please DM @dahai0757 or @dotteabar directly to book.

It’s MINALS’ honor to collaborate with tea specialist Matias and the Italian Tea Society in presenting a three-session immersive course on May 11, 18, and 24. (Application is now closed.)
As a lineage inheritor of an 870-year-old tradition of Chinese incense craftsmanship, MINALS will guide participants through the history of Chinese incense culture, the philosophy and artistry of incense blending, and the deeper sensory dimensions of scent. Combining ancient wisdom with modern neuroscience, the course explores how olfaction connects directly with our psychological and emotional states — opening pathways between scent, memory, mood, and inner awareness.
With over 10 years of experience as a tea specialist, Matias will introduce the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) characteristics of tea, and share how different teas influence the body, mind, and emotional balance.
In ancient China, tea drinking and incense appreciation were inseparable rituals among scholars and literati. Through an experimental collaboration hosted at DOT Tea Bar, we then bring tea and incense together into one sensory experience — a journey where aroma and taste merge into a meditative exploration of perception and wellbeing.
All incense materials for the course are provided by MINALS, and all teas are curated by DOT Tea Bar.

Mai!

About Giulia:
Giulia is a Berlin-based collage artist. She creates analogue collages by hand using vintage magazines and prints that she meticulously researches. She plays with memory, intuition, and contrast, giving new life to images that have lost their original meaning.
Chinese culture is deeply rooted in her heart and has shaped her artistic aesthetic. She chose the name Jin Feng (金凤) when she began her Sinology studies and went by this name during her years living in Shanghai. #teahouse #collage #workshop #berlin #chinese
