When Trenton first laid eyes on Tomasina, he fell in love immediately. His best men informed him that he did not have a chance in the world with her. Trenton did not accept this, and pursued the woman of his dreams with quiet determination until she saw it too. He won her heart, and still looks at her with the same adoration as the first day he saw her.
Their wedding this past weekend at Nemacolin was nothing short of unforgettable.
Tomasina and Trenton opted not to do a first look—and saw each other for the first time as she walked down a floral-lined aisle.
Trenton’s eyes told the whole story. There was that iconic look that so encompasses their love story. He is captivated by her. A hush fell over the crowd. All eyes were on them—but his never left her. ✨✨
And then came the reception. Straight out of a dream.
Nicole and her team from Exhale Events and the incomparable Joe Mineo Creative transformed Nemacolin’s already elevated estate into a whole other world of elegance and wonder. Picture candlelit tables, floating disco balls, textured white florals, and the kind of layered luxury that takes your breath away. This powerhouses duo took Tomasina’s dream and turned it into something beyond imagination.

What Jena Dennis and her family have created here is so much more than a venue. It’s years of vision, risk, and sacrifice — the kind of blood, sweat, and tears that turn a building into something that feels alive again. Every detail feels intentional. Every space tells a story.

Our first family concert! We’ve been counting down to this night for months — and somehow it still exceeded our expectations.
An idyllic Florida evening, a packed stadium, thousands of voices worshiping… and our girls loving every second.
At one point, our youngest daughter told us she wanted to be on stage. We said, “maybe someday you will!” A few songs later, she said, “Okay, I’m ready to go up there now.”
Cue us gently explaining that we could not, in fact, just hop on stage mid-concert 😅 She responded back, “but you said I could!”
Oops!
Once we ironed out that we wouldn’t be joining Phil for a surprise duet - although one lucky guy in the audience did get to do this!! - (or snagging a backstage photo 😂), the girls settled in and soaked it all up…
…until our youngest quite literally fell asleep mid-show. Which, honestly, was impressive given the energy of the night!
What stayed with us most wasn’t just the music — it was how grounded and genuine of a guy @philwickham is. The kind of presence that doesn’t try too hard, just quietly points everything back to what matters. The openers and guests were incredible too — the whole night felt intentional from start to finish.
Time together hasn’t come easily lately, so getting a night like this felt really special. One that we won’t forget anytime soon.

We gathered at The Venue in Hastings for our April networking event, alongside the venue’s open house, to welcome a beautiful new space while connecting with so many of the talented professionals who make up our local industry.
From beautiful newlywed moments with our very own association president, Michelle Guthrie-Loftis, and her husband, Bryant Loftis, to a room filled with collaboration and celebration, the night truly reflected what this community is all about.

Do you ever look around in the middle of the chaos and get hit with the feeling that you’re living the days you’ll one day ache to go back to?
This time of year, uninterrupted time together feels far too rare. Thus we are trying to plan ahead (not our forte) and maximize quality family time.
The Clay County Fair was on its last day and we jusssst made it out for our first Fair experience with the girls (and possibly as adults?)
Wow! It’s wild that it’s essentially a pop up amusement park *with* farm animals.
If you can’t tell, we loved it. Strolling in the sunshine, riding rides, meeting animals, eating overpriced (albeit delicious) food - it was a day full of surprises (since we had very little idea all that was included in a county fair…) and so much fun :)
Tantrums and hangriness still keep us on our toes at times. But it doesn’t rattle us (me) the way it used to, which feels like such a win.
We are living in the good ol days and holding on for dear life. This day especially is one we will forever look back on with big smiles and full hearts.
The day she was *just* tall enough to ride the Ferris Wheel.
Where a new unicorn stuffy instantly became a beloved treasure (and the newest “baby”)
When they still need to snuggle into me on some of the rides. And grab my hand walking down the path.
That day where dad insisted on waiting in the hour long line for the “best donuts ever” - (which did not disappoint!)
The good old days aren’t someday — they’re right here in sticky fingers, ferris wheel rides, and precious little hands still reaching for ours. We’re just trying not to blink!
What if the best thing that ever happens to you… starts with a risk?
Jackie & Chris met in the middle of a world that had slowed down—a soccer game, a chance encounter, the kind you could’ve easily brushed past.

And trusting that the risk you take on love might just lead you somewhere better than you ever could’ve planned.
A life built not on guarantees—but on choosing each other, over and over again. And that compounded choosing is what leads to a love that lasts a lifetime. 💛
You spent months intricately planning every detail… only to stand there and not hear a single word.
Every word, every promise, every carefully chosen detail. But then it begins—and something else takes over.

They were so locked in on each other, it was like the rest of the room just faded away. Not in a distracted way—in a this moment is too big to fully process kind of way.
It happens all the time. You get up there, your heart is racing, forever is suddenly right in front of you…and all you can really focus on is the one in front of you.
The way they’re looking at you. The feeling of “this is it.”The quiet, overwhelming weight of choosing each other—right there in real time.
So no, you probably won’t remember every word that was said. (Or possibly *any* word that was said 😉But you’ll remember how it felt.
And that’s exactly why having it on video matters. Because one day, you’ll want to come back and see the parts you missed—while feeling all over again what it was like to be completely, undeniably, starry-eyed in love.

The Venue is officially open and WOW! We are blown away by every inch of its charm and versatility. Two years in the making, it has truly been a labor of love restoring this historic gem. And alas, the world gets to experience the magic of The Venue!
The powerhouse behind this space is one of the most incredible women you will ever meet. She fell in love with Hastings, and when she set eyes on this particular building, she saw all that it was, and all that it could be.
Jena’s heart for restoration over renovation truly sets her apart. This building is nearly a century old!! The integrity and character of the space have been preserved while adding a mix of modern elegance throughout.
While the space will leave you in awe, it’s the people that make a place. And the people of Hastings are in a league of their own. The teamwork and collaboration on this project (and in the town!) is top tier. It has been an absolute honor to document this legacy space!
