Another piece I worked on for @hard_jewelry ’s 5 year anniversary. Extremely proud of this one - I consider it likely some of my best work in terms of detail and photo manipulation. Added a process video in the second slide to give you guys some insight on that! ‘breathe in the air’ was one of my first ever mixed media artworks that i made all the way back in 2020 - inspired by Pink Floyd’s ‘Breathe In The Air.’ i had just gotten acquainted with the idea of combining analog and digital workflows, especially using my printer. well actually, my college roommates printer, which i’ve kept to this day.. #thanks nico. it involved printing and transferring wet ink to create smudges and texture. i overlayed this on top of some class notes and played with placement and scribbles.
at the time this was solely an experiment, not meant to become final or polished artwork. but to my surprise it’s been one of my more popular pieces and the more i look back at it the more subconsciously reflective it was of the times, whether fully intentional or not.

made these from 2023-now. i always loved that first one. kurt specifically requested stargazer lily flowers for the mtv performance set to evoke a funeral-like atmosphere. i thought it’d be a nice touch to add those flowers in and throughout the design.

I am delighted to announce this poster design I did for @a24 ’s reopening of @cherrylanetheatre - the historic birthplace of off-broadway, over a century old and operating. When I was 17 I fell in love with design, obsessed over dithered, computerized aesthetics. Dithering so quickly became a recurrent cornerstone of my artistic style - my younger self would have killed for a plugin like this. After months of late nights, I’m beyond proud to release what feels like the evolution of DITHERTONE into the magnum opus design tool I’ve always envisioned.
