The evolution of a Common Yellowthroat painting :)
These warblers are more accommodating than most, as the stay low and don't constantly flip flop. And with their round bodies and long slender legs, they are true birbs 💛💛💛
About a week ago, a coyote crossed our path. It was too close to fit in some of the frames, and it was running, a bit concerned by our presence. Not sure if it's Romeo or Juliette. If you know, please let me know!
Regardless, it was a magical moment :)
Work in progress | Maureen Junior | coffee paintings (cause what else can I do with a full jar of instant coffee, now that I don't drink it anymore?) | coffee Easter bunnies | "selfie" with Bernie (did I already post it? Does it matter?) | subway sketches
Rico in the city with process photos and also a sneak preview of a new painting in progress.
Many thanks to @chris_hy_shen for helping me with the shots!!!
Updated double-sided No Kings sign! Featuring a protest pigeon!!!
Speaking of protest pigeons, I was amazed to find one a couple of weeks ago in Tribeca! Still attached to the post after almost a year!
Also, an adorable kitty I saw on the Upper West Side.
Last week my friend @chris_hy_shen helped me get some photos of Rico out in the basketball court :) thank you, Chris!!!
Also, some images from 2 days ago while SHAPping: pigeons feasting on a green muffin (St Patrick's Day leftovers?) and a woodcock in Bryant Park!
Last Monday during our Create & Chat session, organized by the @alumniassociationnyaa , I worked on these paintings while chatting with a lovely group of people :)
These all were exercises for the class I'm taking with the amazing @elodygyekis via @academyeverywhere . The first 2 are oil on paper, the other 3 are watercolor on Yupo.
Student work from the Insect class yesterday at the @newyorkacademyofart . Thank you for inviting me @wadeschuman ! And thank you for the help @__ccloudyy__ ! And all the fabulous students for playing along!
