Overthinking is just our survival brain yelling over our intuition. It screams worst-case scenarios, drowns out the gut feelings that already know the way. This is a way to temporarily soothe anxious feelings, by tricking ourselves that we still have things to figure out before we can act. Overthinking convinces us we’re lost when really, we’re just scared.
It’s okay to be scared.
Fear isn’t proof something’s wrong, it’s just a sign we’re stepping into something real. Trust the whisper of your intuition over the screams of our overthinking mind.
If you’re an overthinker who’s tired of feeling like your brain is broken, leave a “CALM” in the comments and a bot pretending to be me will send you a FREE sample of my book UnAnxious which has simple truths to quiet the overthinking screams.
