With US$180K raised since 2014, Don Leonhardt has been an ambassador for DGR long before 2026. But this year, we welcome him officially as a global ambassador for The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.
"I was first inspired to participate in the DGR by my close friend and cancer survivor Jay LaRossa, who was also a past DGR Ambassador. Jay was a top fundraiser in the 2014 ride and we then challenged each other to raise more money the next year.
After DGR partnered with Movember, I was further inspired by the DGR’s expanded mission of advocating for men’s mental health. I lost my father when I was 17 years old and my law school roommate later – both to suicide. Losing family and close friends made the cause much more personal and motivated me to work on the city host team."
Don has been involved in hosting DGR Los Angeles since 2017. His friendship, kindness, and camraderie represents everything that DGR stands for and spreads to everyone one he meets. If you've had the pleasure of meeting Don before, you know this already.

This year, in addition to serving as the Primary City Host for the Los Angeles Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, I am also a Global Ambassador. When someone we look up to takes their own life, it can unintentionally normalize something that is anything but normal.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is about much more than sharp suits and beautiful motorcycles. It’s a global movement raising awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer — reminding us that behind the style and machines are real conversations that matter.
