One of the architects of modern techno, creator of the minimal blueprint, and relentless innovator, Hood’s raw, spiritual approach to techno has reverberated far beyond Detroit, shaping the genre for over three decades. Joining him on direct support is DJ Miss Parker, the NYC-based selector known for their bold, body-moving blends of techno, breaks, and electro. Plus, local underground hero, Server, starting us off. A vital force in the American underground and beyond, her passionate dedication to archiving & activating timeless strains of raw and mechanized expression has established her as a leader of the new school of North American machine funk, while harkening back to the revolutionary sonics of Detroit, Chicago, & New York City. Her ability to connect to the the old-school sound while keeping her finger on the pulse of contemporary producers perfectly embodies the DOMAIN ethos and we are grateful to host Akua for her San Francisco debut. Perfect Dark Co-founder Brick [ @brick.909 ], a trusted voice within the Bay Area’s most sweat-soaked corners, continues to shape the contours of the American sound with steely groove and force. Fresh off the release of his EP “Control”, characterized as “cutty tools for peak sets and late nights”, we are ecstatic that his second DOMAIN appearance is marked with the debut of his new live set. A longtime architect of LA’s shadowy warehouse continuum, Negative Affect (fka Dj ANGELDU$t) [ @negative__affect ] returns to DOMAIN for his second appearance bringing his signature blend of industrial tension and rolling hypnosis — a functionalist’s dream with just enough menace to keep it unstable. Fresh off an appearance at Observe in Detroit during Movement weekend, he is poised to captain the take off of an undeniable techno exhibition. A very special extended set is in store from Bar Part Time founder and Club Lonely party-starter Jeremy Castillo [ @dadbody ]. With expertise across a wide array of genres over the last 10+ years, you can expect some (but not too much) sonic relief in the back room of F8 for 4 hours of tripped-out psychedelia, jackin’ house, and techno. With over 30 years of spreading the good word, Joey’s work in the studio and behind the decks is unmatched. Many know his productions on Tresor and R&S, but his discography goes much deeper than that. Here at Domain we’re very partial to his releases on Bush and his own label STX. Joining for her second DOMAIN appearance is Chicago’s Mina Mills [ @mina__mills ], a vinyl purist who’s set at her first appearance blew us away and we’re honored to have her back on the 1’s and 2’s. Texas Techno representative Point.Reyes [ @point.reyes ] makes his SF debut with us, from his productions to his DJing, expect dance floor hammers & pounding grooves straight to the core.
