Lifting things helps me process and release anxiety and restlessness. My brain can’t ruminate when I’m fully present and physical effort takes my nervous system from a wired state to a more grounded one- it’s called a parasympathetic rebound!

One way to model recovery, resilience, and levity for our children is sharing our mistakes with them- from silly ones to more serious errors. This might release some shame around making mistakes AND ease the experience of being corrected. Which means less suffering for all. I’m trying this!
