Goodbye Shanghai. Photographer @jake.homovich put together this photo series to capture the spirit of the incredible summer I had at @swatchartpeacehotel I have been inspired by all the artists I met and equally moved by the kindness of the new friends I made at metal, punk, and goth events. I wish I could stay longer and certainly will be back as soon as life allows.

Battle Vest: Shanghai 2025 is a celebration of the reciprocal relationship on and off stage in the metal, punk, and goth scene. Can a piece of clothing be a tribute to a culture and tell a story of individuals through photographs? This was the idea for this piece I worked on meticulously throughout the summer. I donated this piece to the @swatchartpeacehotel so it could forever remain in Shanghai with the community it aims to honor. I hope this to be the first in an ongoing series. So what scene, what city should be next?

So incredibly psyched to see @deadguyrocks last night in Nashville at @eastsidebowlvenue It should go without saying how important this band has been since the release of Fixation on a Co-worker despite their absence in the scene for most of that time. Their 2025 return album Near-Death Travel Services is just as powerful and does not sound like a comeback album by any means and their live performance will leave you a true believer that Deadguy has been waiting for the right moment to pounce back to life and that time is now.

Spent the day rewatching my interview with @subvontom which will be included in my upcoming film about @itsgothdad / Vision Video. Tom shared so many incredible stories about the early 80’s music scene in Leeds and early inspirations for @marchvioletsband including Athens bands @theb52sband and @pylon.band . This is going to be a good one! 🎞️ 🎥 🎸 🦇
