This Saturday, 7/12 Good Work returns for our second party of the summer with some very special guests: Loidis @west_mineral and Yumi @notyumiko
Loidis will be DJing in the open air on what we hope is the gloriously sunny day that’s forecast (as of right now) and Yumi will be playing house music for what is, at the end of the day, a house party at Zach’s place.
There’s really nothing to say here besides you really don’t want to miss this one! You should arrive early: even with the rain last time the party filled up quickly, we had to hold people on a line and even turn some away so it wouldn’t get too crowded back there.
Oh, and I’ve just been informed that some Good Work t-shirts that @michaelmagnan helped us out with will be done just in time for the party, our first piece of merch after all these years… 🥲

Good Work returns once again for our first party of Summer 2025 🌞🍑🙂
First up on the decks will be @jadalareign : Zach and I have wanted her to play our party for a long time now and it’s finally happening. Chances are if you’ve been going to parties in NYC over the past few years you couldn’t possibly miss Jada working her magic. She’s an indispensable part of nightlife here in so many ways and we’re looking forward to a beautiful afternoon listening to her throw down to kick things off ↗️
To close it out we’re calling in SnPLO, the joint project of Montreal’s SnP500 - DJ Spence + Sentena, the minds behind Doo, one of the best labels at it right now - and the one and only PLO Man. SnPLO introduced themselves by putting out three celebrated and highly sought after releases just over the past year with hopefully more on their way (I’d share the title of their most recent 2x10” release from last month but I don’t want this post to get removed ❄️). We’ve been informed that they’ll be playing records with maybe a “sprinkle of digital”: this will be SnPLO’s NYC debut and we can’t wait to hear what’s in their bags ;)
The format is the same: a lovely backyard, a bar in the corner with drinks and other treats, our trusted hot dog roller machine, constant outfit changes from our inimitable host, and lots of friendly faces. Come to 131 Menahan next weekend and help us ring in the summer ☝️

Last month I recorded a mix for Matt McDermott’s Dublab show En Plein Air which was broadcast on 11.10.23.
The idea for this one started with gathering tracks that reminded me in some way of the clicks & cuts style of the late 90s/early 2000s, that was some of the first electronic music I got into and I’ve found myself revisiting that zone lately. Some of the tracks are from that era specifically, a bunch of them are more recent, the tracklist is on the last slide.
You can listen to the mix as part of the broadcast on the Dublab archive, for easier access I’ve extracted my bit and posted it to SC, link in bio.
