We asked a local (and dear friend) to give us a category and his five favorite picks. He chose to talk about the noisemakers in the Philly music scene that have shaped him the most. @hannyramadan is the frontman and primary songwriter of the Philly indie band @latchkeykidsnj . Last week, his band released their debut studio album, Years of Summer. After listening (which I highly recommend you do!), I decided Hanny would be a great person to talk to for our Locals List. “latchkey kids has always straddled our own stubborn line between a folk rock writing style & an electrified punk delivery. This has made capturing the band’s vision on record difficult but scintillating & rewarding whenever strides are made.
