I listen to a track with a fresh perspective that the artists doesn’t have. Some advice on the mixdown, goes a long way to improving the overall sound. I find this works better than just slamming the track through a limiter and trying to compensate for issues in the mixdown of a track. On the quiet over the last 18 months I have been mastering dnb for a bunch of labels including @soulinmotionldn @influencerecordsdnb @sunandbassofficial 31 Records @planetvmusic @detailrecordings Like anything worth doing right, it’s taken some hard work,dedication and a bit of trial and error to nail it.
