It's taken me two years, but I've finally framed my personalised Coronation St clapperboard. I was a staff Assistant Director at Corrie for 10 years before taking the leap to go freelance as a Director in 2024. My lovely AD team got me this as a leaving present, and I'm happy to finally have it on the wall of the home office. A constant reminder of all those years of happy memories. The episode/scene number, set, and date are from the first ever scene I directed on the show back in 2019 (with thanks to @brettfallis for pushing me to do it). Looking forward to being back at ITV next month to make more memories!

Finally compiled some BTS from directing the Children's Drama 'Odd Squad' towards the end of last year. The show was great fun to work on and was full of exciting challenges: Moving trains, wind and snow machines, weddings, roman ruins, but most importantly, having the chance to work with an absolutely superb cast and crew. Our podcast audio drama Project Bläckfisk is now fully available wherever you get your podcasts! ----> @blackfiskpod Set in Manchester and mixing real history and locations with a fictional narrative, the show is a mystery thriller based on a young woman who receives a date sealed archive box addressed to her late grandfather, and upon opening it, discovers a chilling cover-up spanning decades. 2020: In the middle of the pandemic @bexcrossland and I came up with what seemed like a simple idea; with short films currently impossible due to social distancing, lets make an audio drama show and do it completely remotely. 2025: That 'simple idea' grew into an immersive, cross-platform, 6 episode mini-series....which unintentionally took half a decade. My last few months have been busy with an amazing project, which we officially WRAPPED on Friday! Couldn't have asked for a better team. I've learnt so much, met some truly wonderful people, and had a blast. Odd Squad Series 5, you were brilliant.
