Last week at the DLD Spring Reception in Munich, we honored Prof. Matthias H. Tschöp, newly appointed President of Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
In a powerful speech, Matthias spoke about a world marked by war, polarization, disinformation, pressure on democracy, and the unease around AI – and still made a strong case for hope.
His anchor: LMU as a place where truth, knowledge, responsibility, and progress are pursued every day.
That spirit is very close to DLD: bringing unexpected voices into conversation: science and entrepreneurship, media and medicine, technology and responsibility.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Alexander Kluge.
In his poetic spirit, he connected frontier technologies with endless curiosity and a deep commitment to the humanistic values of Europe. We learned so much from him. His cosmic „Weltdenken“, openness and „Menschenfreundlichkeit“ will stay with us forever.

Just last week, we gathered for an election debate in Munich’s most famous techno club! ⚡️⚡️
@clemens.baumgaertner , @david.suess and @larsmentrup were on the lineup, facing the scene to discuss their “party plans” for Munich’s #nightlife.
They responded to demands raised in the opening remarks by @x.almedina.x , @walterwahnsinnjr , @vila.leyla and @pollyester___ , as well as by guests from the crowd.
Promises were made, now we’ll see who keeps them. Rest assured, DLD Music School (@radiospaceandance ) will keep paying attention. Follow and stay tuned… 👀
