@as__benton called and invited me to come play my favorite Hip Hop album of all time ( you know how hard that is?) On vinyl. I narrowed it down to about 6-7 albums (Sex Packets was not on the original lineup.) I was leaning towards playing BDP Edutainment amd a few others... told my daughter
@kandy4kyra my problem.. and I was just telling her stories about different albums throughout my life.. I saw a tape on my shelf that said Kenny K x Digital underground. Which caused me to pull out Sex Packets and tell her how it was related to #tampahiphop. I said "do you remember

(Shock G's sister pictured above) (my daughter met her at the Doechii concert earlier this year) Then I pulled out the liner notes 📝 and showed her the "Tampa" shout-outs listed inside the album. Liz was on there, of course, but also listed was #thetuckertwins (my high-school teacher pictured above as well) my daughter met her, (Pastor Tucker-Johnson) when she delivered the eulogy at my father's funeral a few years ago.🕊 So after that, my daughter said "Dad, you have to play this album.. you have stories" 🙌 so we did.. and told stories about it and its connection to TampaHipHop even before Digital Underground was formed. The industry only knew them as being from Oakland.. but Shock G (RIP) made his mark here in Tampa 1st... if you missed it, you missed it.. lol. I had an amazing time, saw some great friends, told some cool stories, got my flowers 💐 🙌, I even brought out some show-n-tell items and some classic audio from Kenny K and crew on the radio here in 1988.
