This is from a five night residency with the artist #Blxst at The Roxy Theatre. This particular song is called searching. I wanted to showcase this song in particular because there’s a lot of space within the groove and the plug-ins that I’m using helped me keep the stage volume low in all of the microphones.

This is how to safely run outboard gear during live shows. 🚨
I created a “FAILSAFE” Channel with a 1khz tone coming in from my waves setup. If that signal is lost it triggers a macro to disable all waves inserts and enable the on board FX. I duplicated everything and created an exact opposite Marco to re enable when the tone comes back.

Day In the Live of an Audio Engineer 🎶
I went directly from my show with Kiana Ledé in New Orleans to this show with Blxst at Sacramento State. The Digico Offline editor comes in clutch for situations like this where I need to make changes to my show file while on the go.
For this gig I used the @digico.official Quantum 338 with a @wavesaudio Extreme-C server. All the mics and IEMs are @shure axient. I’m using a @uaudio Apollo Twin Quad for additional vocal processing. Since I’m mixing from half a football field away I have a pair of @qscaudio K2 Series speakers delayed at 120ms.
