Blank Code is a Detroit, USA techno outfit that have released music by artists like Bas Mooy, Mike Parker, Brian Sanhaji, DJ Hyperactive, Drumcell, and many more.
The M Compilation series is a various artists project launched around the time of Movement Festival in Detroit. The first release, M1, came out in 2015, with additional editions appearing over the years. Previous compilations have featured artists such as Luis Flores, Takaaki Itoh, Annie Hall, Truncate, Lindsey Herbert, Drumcell, and others.
For Blank Code, Movement has always felt like a family reunion for the label, by hosting events during the festival since its second year, when it was still called the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, or DEMF. Over the years it has become a moment when friends, artists, and collaborators from around the world come together in Detroit. The M Compilation series was created as a way to bring those artists together on a shared project that reflects the spirit of that weekend and the community that forms around it each year.
Aliasing is a moniker from Chicago's collaborating pair made of DJ Hyperactive and Jason Patrick. They have released individually on iconic labels such as Len Faki’s Figure, Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, Tim Taylor’s Missile, Chris Liebing’s CLR, Jeremy P Caulfield's Dumb Unit, and Vegim's TMMR.
For this DT:Premiere we selected "Unseen Layers" that is the perfect balance of sound design and club functionality. Thumping percussion creates tension below harmonic modular twinkles for an otherworldy, hypnotic experience that transports mind and body to the stratosphere.
