Recently, i’ve been deep in ecstatic and conscious dance spaces where my shoes are off, my phone is probably tucked away, and I’m finding real joy in dancing again.
I’d really love to invite you into it.
My sound has evolved too. There’s still Brazilian influence, always, but now it moves through house music and higher BPM moments, along with various global rhythms. The sets are less about playing the same tempos and more about creating a full arc.
These gatherings are all ages (yes, kids too), and they’re intentional spaces. It’s not really a “party”, it’s more of a community space. A place to move, release, connect, and maybe process something without needing to put words to it. This is where a lot of my energy has been going, and it feels aligned in a way I didn’t expect.

Health is the new wealth.
I’ve spent the last few years transforming my habits and my art to align with my well-being. This journey has led me to the most beautiful and most global community I’ve ever known: Ecstatic Dance.
Since my first dance in 2018, this space has been my sanctuary. It’s where I met my best friends, my mentors, and even my partner. Most importantly, it’s where I finally felt free to show up as my most authentic self, both as a human and an artist.
I’ve been evolving my DJ sets into deeper sound journeys, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on at The Road to Dance Beyond / Ecstatic Dance NYC - May 13th at the Greenpoint Loft. ✨
I'm honored to be part of this powerful container with the opening by @humaninstruments who's facilitation is a blend of sorcery and circle singing, and live performance by Nur Ala Nur, a collaboration between @omaraena and @adam.elabd , weaving together live instrumentation and electronic beats inspired by the Sufi path and their Iraqi and Egyptian roots.
Huge gratitude to the @ecstaticdancenyc and @dance.beyond crews for being the blueprint for this movement and inspiring so many people.

Join us for a transformative afternoon of movement, music, and connection at the stunning, private Killam’s Point. Set along the shoreline with access to a secluded beach, this experience invites you to reconnect with your body, nature, and community.
We’ll begin with grounding movement led by Chelsea Gockel, Lauren Dailey, and Halley Gradus, then journey into an ecstatic dance set with Brazilian-American DJ FlavYa, whose soulful beats invite free, expressive movement. We’ll close with a restorative sound bath by Kelvin Young, offering space for integration and deep rest.
This is not a choreographed class, it’s a meditation in motion. Move however your body calls, with no expectations and no experience needed.

• Bathing suit & towel (for a dip in the water)
• Plenty of water
• Comfortable clothes for movement
• Snacks to share (optional)
• An open heart

I've been shifting toward more intentional spaces lately—places like Ecstatic Dance. 💃
It’s not just about the music; it’s about the framework.
No alcohol. No phones. No talking on the floor.
At first, that sounds restrictive, but it actually creates something rare: a space where you can just be.
When you aren’t performing or socializing in the usual way, you start relating to yourself in the presence of others. And that changes everything.
Let’s be honest—in most environments, being watched, recorded, or even harassed has become normalized. That directly impacts how free we feel.
But when those layers are removed, your nervous system shifts. You soften. You open. You move differently.

I realized how powerful dance can be to help us express ourselves—without filters, without the pressure to drink to let go.
In my recent DJ sets, I bring what I’m living and feeling to the sound journey: emotions like anger, sadness, joy— part of being human and allowing myself to feel. When we dance and feel the ground under our bare feet, allowing ourselves to feel it all, something shifts.
That’s what I love about conscious dance—it creates space for transformation, just like I’ve experienced.
