We welcome Chowchow to the Night Format family with his debut EP on Night Format Records. The Brazilian artist, based in the Netherlands, delivers emotive late-2010s techno, blending cinematic atmospheres and dreamy synths with sharp drums and rumbling, system-ready kicks for immersive club music with depth.

Night Format Records marks a defining milestone with its first physical release - NFV001. This debut vinyl EP delivers four uncompromising cuts of pure, unfiltered techno from the label’s founders Night Format (BRNT & Five Alive), alongside remixes from two of the genre’s most relentless forces, Perc and Acerbic.
A1 - Doxycycline
A stripped and focused techno cut - raw, hypnotic, and driven by classic elements redefined through a modern, groove-heavy lens.
A2 - Melancholy
Weight and emotion collide in Melancholy. Heavy percussion drives through rich, layered chords that rise and fall with precision - mechanical yet deeply human, balancing restraint and intensity in equal measure.
B1 - Doxycycline (Perc Remix)
Perc turns the original inside out, forging a relentless industrial weapon. Relentless momentum, ironclad percussion - pure pressure from start to finish.
B2 - Melancholy (Acerbic Remix)
Acerbic injects his signature energy - thunderous low end, sharp hats, and reimagined synth lines - maintaining the emotion of the original while reshaping it into a driving, uncompromising force.

Night Format is helmed by BRNT & Five Alive- two artists from different generations, connected by a shared commitment to raw, uncompromising techno. Five Alive emerged from the techno scene of the ’90s, shaped by warehouse floors, analog grit, and the unpolished energy of the early underground. BRNT, part of a newer wave, came up through the 2000s, absorbing a wide range of dance music before finding his foundation in the stripped, driving roots of classic techno. Their paths converged through a mutual respect for the form and function of techno at its most essential. With Night Format, they carve out a space for dark, honest sound - outside the noise, and beyond the trend cycle.
