In this new sonic exploration, I wanted to experiment with a more minimal and abstract approach, starting from a rhythmic base strongly inspired by the aesthetics of Alva Noto. I used the
@weareelektron Analog Rytm to generate glitches and fragmented rhythmic structures, upon which a deep drone created with the
@instruomodular CS-L is layered, processed through a random filter and the granular textures of the TLM Audio Monsoon. To provide continuity and a solid foundation to the track, I chose to insert a hypnotic and constant bass generated by the
@moogsynthesizers Mother-32, which accompanies the entire performance from the very first moment by maintaining a stable voltage on the fundamental. The melodic interplay is instead entrusted to two notes generated by the Seq8 of the Ornament & Crime, driving the Instruo Arbhar to create suspended sonic fragments through precise quantization. After the break, the set changes energy with the entry of a second bass, this time more acidic and biting, derived from the Moog DFAM with resonance reaching the edge of self-oscillation. The entire soundscape is immersed in an ethereal and spatial atmosphere, modulated through the
@strymonengineering Starlab and Magneto, which provide depth and movement to the entire mix.
