Woke up to 2 Grammy nods yesterday and it feels way crazier than i ever thought it would. I could say a lot but all I wanna say is Slow Song is probably my favorite piece of music I’ve ever made & Love Letter is close behind it. For these 2 songs to get any recognition at all is truly fuel for the fire. If i went back and told this kid making beats on a dirt road in New Hampshire that this would happen in 20 years he’d tell me to fuck off. ❤️ Thank you to everyone that has inspired me along the way & we all know these award shows are weird political nonsense but WE’LL TAKE IT 🤝
I’ve been spending a lottttt of hours in here. I’ve been making an effort to block out all the noise and just kinda live in this record as much as possible and it’s been a really enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to share it 🎡
Strike A Fire Ft. @cultscultscults is out today
this one lived on hard drives for almost 10 years.
Different versions, different moments, never quite finished. Something clicked in Costa Rica.
Cults were running around the same NYC we were in the mid 2010s. same parties, same rooms, same kind of beautiful chaos. Feels like this song has always carried that with it.
Took a decade, but it’s out before summer. felt like the right time.
My Remix of Believe by @ErinLecount is up on Soundcloud now!
Was always working on this bit by bit as ive been running around digging and finishing my album(s)
This tune by doesn't leave my head and I really wanted to hear a fun bloggy 2015 style remix of it so i made one.
My rework of Electric Feel by @whoismgmt is out now everywhere today. I made this entirely while i was traveling the past couple months.
Im trying to not be too precious with stuff and release it while i still love it and it feels fresh and immediate. Different versions of it soundtracked a lotta sunsets for me the past few months, I hope it can do the same for you as the weather gets warmer.
Before leaving New York, I stumbled on Thalassa through a Thai concert flyer and was immediately drawn to her voice & piano skills. She’s a singer-songwriter who grew up outside of Bangkok. That discovery led me out of the city to visit her and her mother at their beautiful home. Here’s a glimpse into her farmhouse life, her animals, and the song we’re creating together. More soon.
