5 YEARS AGO TODAY; 2/17/2021: @earth222shae comes home with an DDJ-400, that I didn’t think it was for me at first…little did she know that she would permanently alter the course of my life. From making mixes, to doing my best impression of Chopped n Screwed music (bad but I tried my best). 2022: To @vaaleezy inviting me to studio sessions in Baltimore, meeting @tromac , @spunbysun at The Crown, learning all the history of the space and getting to play there myself. 2023: Mixes with no plays, Kinz and a handful of others bring the only few in the room for me while I did my set, it was all practice. A summer with no gigs, almost gave up on being a DJ, until a Beach party that revitalized my spirit. January 2024: Tromac invites me to this random abandoned ass office in the middle of the city, says it’s an artists workshop type thing called @teamphlote I said aight bet. Little did I know, this would become the catalyst for me to become who yall know me as today. From the places I’ve been, the faces I’ve seen, the conversations I’ve had and the days I’ve spent stressing about shit going right have all been worth it. The last 5 years of my life have given me purpose and cleared my vision. I know what I want outta this thing here, and I hope yall stick by me through these next 5. I love yall. I love Baltimore City. I LOVE CLUB MUSIC.
