This rift sits between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, and thanks to glacial meltwater filtered through volcanic rock, the visibility here is insanely clear-up to 100 meters or 300 feet. The water is freezing (2-4°C year-round about 35 degrees Fahrenheit), but dry suits keep you insulated so you can fully enjoy the experience without actually feeling the cold.
