Every floral and design detail was created with intention.
I am not sure if this summary will do the beauty of this event justice. I think this might have been my 15th creative collaboration with Yomi. According to her husband/my bestie David it may be our best one yet. To create this look for beloved @edtrust , here is a sneak into the process:
✈️ First Yomi flew from her second office in the Dominican Republic to give the client a preview that was heavy on the CEO’s favorite flower orchids. She stayed at my home making it into a floral oasis which I sorely miss. Come back and room with me Yomi :).
🎉 Wanting to really create a visually dynamic branded moment (because you only turn 30 once. Right?) we leaned into EdTrust core colors of teal, peach and cream with hints of accents that just made sense.
🌸 Oh and if you were there, did you notice a Melva favorite addition we snuck in at the last minute? Every single place setting had their own individual floral. An orchid because Denise wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Bottom line: If assignment understood was a person, their name would be Yomaris from @divablooms who you know I love and adore.

For Dropbox x Misty Copeland, we took inspiration from costume as art. Where structure meets softness and every detail carries intention.
Sculptural tablescapes replaced traditional decor.
Fabric moved, gathered, and revealed.
Candles melted into new forms as the night unfolded.
Nothing static. Everything evolving.
Guests were anchored by lasered seating stones with their names and titles on both sides. Smooth and raw, front and back. An invitation to connect and a reminder to leave your mark.
Even the unexpected had purpose.
